Raleigh, NC — March 19, 2025 — Small businesses across North Carolina now have expanded opportunities to access critical funding, thanks to the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) Technical Assistance (TA) Program. Funded by the U.S. Department of the Treasury in partnership with the NC Department of Commerce and the NC Rural Center, this initiative is dedicated to helping small businesses secure the capital they need to grow and succeed.
The SSBCI TA Program provides no-cost, expert counseling to small business owners on capital readiness, financial planning, and business strategy. Whether you are pursuing your first round of funding or an established company planning to expand, the program’s counselors are ready to assist.
The program ensures that every small business in North Carolina can access support, with counselors serving all 100 counties. Business owners can take advantage of one-on-one counseling sessions, workshops, and assistance in preparing for funding opportunities.
For added flexibility, virtual counseling is also available, ensuring that no matter where you are located in the state, you can receive the help you need.
In addition to individual counseling, the SSBCI TA Program will offer webinars and in-person workshops to help entrepreneurs navigate the funding process, strengthen their financial planning, and develop robust business strategies.
While the program is open to all small businesses in North Carolina, it places a special focus on those with limited access to capital.
If you are a small business owner in North Carolina seeking guidance on how to access capital, the SSBCI TA Program is ready to help.
