This session will provide an overview of the main financial statements, stressing the importance of accurate bookkeeping and outlining some of the information that can be learned from analyzing these statements. A focus will be on recasting statements in formats that are easier to interpret, which in turn will help the owner make better business decisions.

The presenters will introduce participants to some of the ratios and other analysis measures used as key performance indicators to help manage their small businesses. Some of these measures are also used by bankers and other lenders when making approval decisions on small business loans and lines of credit.
