Angela Williamson was referred to PTAC from the National Veteran’s Small Business Engagement in Minneapolis in 2016. Our initial meeting was November 2016. We met and focused on W&M’s Business Plan and Action Steps for 2017. Angela wanted to prepare to bid for janitorial work. Steps for government contracting included SAM registration, Capability Statement, VA verification, Competitor Analysis, Proposal Preparation and looking for opportunities.

Our sessions in 2017 focused on the Action steps above. W&M was awarded their first government contract in August 2017 for Janitorial Services – (NAICS 561720).
In 2018 Angela and her PTAC counselor reviewed her business plan and set new Action Steps for 2018. Angela requested assistance in tracking the actual results of her first contract to the bid proposal. This comparison is currently underway. Angela also asked for a recommendation on a Proposal Writing Class. Angela attended a class in March and found it very beneficial. The third step was becoming more active seeking contracts.

PTAC has assisted W&M with two proposals in 2018. Angela was invited to bid on one of the contracts after a potential customer observed their fine work. The best marketing is often your work.
