MED Week 2017
For the third consecutive year, the Cape Fear Region will join the nationwide observance of Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week. Cape Fear Region MED Week recognizes the achievements of local minority entrepreneurs, provides opportunities for networking, and presents workshops helping to growth and strengthen your business.

Conference attendees will have the opportunity to connect with business vendors including GE Hitachi, Duke Energy, City of Wilmington, SAS Institute, North Carolina State Ports Authority, Small Business Technology Development Center, New Hanover County, Department of Transportation, North Carolina Office of Historically Underutilized Businesses, North Carolina State HUB Office, North Carolina Institute of Minority Economic Development, UNCW Office of Community Engagement, UNCW Purchasing Office and UNCW Office of Facilities.

Keynote speaker: Oscar M. Lewis, inventor, U.S. patent holder, global aviation leader and expert, and president of The Lewis Company. Started in 1992, The Lewis Company provides a diversified mix of products and services to a wide-ranging clientele. His patent for the Smart Airport Landing System is in the testing phase with the Federal Aviation Administration.
