Last week, Asheville played host to 275 people representing 158 small businesses from all over North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee at the semi-annual Opportunities conference. This unique event is a way for small businesses to get one-on-one face time with nearly 50 government agencies and prime contractors.
In just one day, they were able to meet with and discover who is a right fit for their goods and services and then streamline their marketing efforts with targeted information crucial for scoring contracts.
Between making connections with potential small business partners and networking with the big-leagues, attendees were able to learn from the experts during 9 concurrent seminars throughout the day.
The day was a success and those who attended walked away with new information and solid leads with real potential at new business with local, state and federal governments. As one attendee put it, “Looking forward to more events like this. Great conference with excellent networking opportunities.” You won’t have to wait long, stay tuned for Marketplace coming next year to the Triangle.
