Opportunities2008, a regional biennial “reverse” trade show that provides small businesses with the opportunity to attend seminars and meet contracting officers from over 50 federal, state and local government agencies and prime contractors, was held in Asheville, NC on March 10, 2008.
The over 450 attendees (primarily small business owners) were able to:
 Market their products and services directly to over 50 federal, state, and local government agencies and
large prime contractors in ONE day with ONE sales call.
Attend series of seminars designed
to provide the latest information on doing business with the government.
Place bids on goods and services and win a
contract on the spot. Representatives from several agencies
and prime contractors brought simplified acquisition requirements
and asked small businesses to submit quotes. Contracts were awarded
during the On-the-Spot Awards reception.
You may also want to participate in the statewide Marketplace procurement conference, to be held in Research Triangle Park (RTP) on Wednesday, May 27, 2009.
